The Diversity Committee of the Westchester Women's Bar Association is pleased to announce that Kitley Covill has been selected as the 2017 winner of the WWBA Diversity Achievement Award! Kitley Covill understands the importance of diversity and has devoted her professional life to promoting and ensuring diversity and acceptance for all. The Lawyering and Parenting Committee of the Westchester Women's Bar Association is pleased to announce that The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale has been selected as the 2017 winner of the WWBA Family Friendly Employer Award! The Weinberg Center is the nation’s first elder abuse shelter, and provides emergency shelter, with comprehensive legal services, to residents of Westchester County. As a shelter program working to help victims of elder abuse create positive, caring and drama-free lives and relationships, the Weinberg Center believes supporting those same qualities in the lives of its professional staff is a core part of its mission, and rich family relationships are seen as assets which enhance team members’ professional skills and abilities. We extend our sincere congratulations to The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention on this well-deserved award.
The WWBA is pleased to announce that Peter Nardone has been selected as the 2017 winner of the Karen Z. Bell Moderate Means Panel Award. Peter has practiced matrimonial and family law in and around Westchester County for the last 25 years. He was the 2008 recipient of the Gail Katz Memorial Award from the Pace Women's Justice Center. He is a graduate of Leadership Westchester, Class of 2003. We extend our sincere congratulations to Peter Nardone on this well-deserved award.
