Bio
Elizabeth A. Cumming graduated summa cum laude from Marymount College of Fordham University in 2001 and received her law degree cum laude, along with a Health Law Certificate, from Pace University School of Law in 2005. Ms. Cumming was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2006, and joined the law firm of Glassman & Brown, LLP as an associate attorney in 2006. As of January 1, 2015, she is a partner in the law firm.
She concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, guardianships, estate planning, estate administration and litigation and real estate. She is certified as a Court Evaluator and Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Persons under Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law and as Guardian Ad Litem for Surrogate’s Court in Westchester, Bronx, New York, Putnam and Rockland Counties.
Ms. Cumming has lectured on Article 81 at Westchester Community College and is a panelist for Westchester County Senior Law Day. She has lectured for Pace University School of Law’s Center for Continuing Legal Education program “Bridge the Gap” on Basic Elder Law. She chairs a White Plains elder law study group and lectures to various community groups regarding elder law issues.
She is a member of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, and she participates in the Elder Law, Trusts and Estates and Real Estate sections of each of these organizations.
