ETHICS TUNE-UP: A REFRESHER ON RETAINER
AGREEMENTS AND FEE SHARING


1 CLE Credit in Ethics and 1 CLE Credit in Professional Practice*

This Panel will provide a practical overview of the basic information (including Client Information Forms, Retainers and Fee Arbitration Forms) which will help the attorney establish the parameters of the scope of employment, fees and expenses. The panel will also explore preparation that is necessary in the event the client disputes your fees leading to a Part 137 Arbitration and/or reports you to the Grievance Committee.

*Pending approval by WBASNY in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for 1 credit hour in Ethics and 1 credit hour in Professional Practice, acceptable for transitional credit for established and newly admitted attorneys. The Westchester Women's Bar Association is a chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York. Full and partial scholarships for this program, based on financial need, are available. Full scholarship for the $10 CLE certificate charge (maximum of 10 attendees) for this program are available for attorneys at non-profit organizations that provide direct legal service for victims of domestic violence.
