is pleased to host:
THE NEW YORK STATE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT – GUARANTEEING YOUR RIGHTS IS ON THE BALLOT NOVEMBER 2024!
The New York legislature passed the Equal Rights Amendment (“ERA”), which means New Yorkers will vote on its ratification to our state constitution on the November 2024 ballot. The NYS ERA will prohibit discrimination by the government based on a person’s ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex — including their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes. Our esteemed speakers will discuss our current equal rights protections, the gaps a NYS ERA will fill, and how to educate others on the rights we can gain.
Moderators: Natanya L. Briendel, Esq. and Juliet Gobler, Esq.
Speakers: Senator Liz Krueger, New York State Senator and ERA Sponsor; Sasha Ahuja, Campaign Director of New Yorkers for Equal Rights
