YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WWBA TODAY!
The success of the WWBA depends upon the volunteer efforts of its esteemed membership. If you are a member and are interested in becoming more involved in the WWBA, see below for a listing of current volunteer opportunities.
The WWBA Awards Committee is responsible for nominating its members for various prestigious awards at the both the state and local level. Local honors include: Diversity Achievement Award, Family Friendly Employer Award, Karen Z. Bell Moderate Means Panel Award, and the Above the Bar Awards (co-sponsored with the Westchester County Business Journal). At the state level, WWBA members are routinely nominated for NYSBA and WBASNY awards.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the preparation and submission of nomination packets. Nomination deadlines vary based upon award, and thus volunteers are appreciated year-round. If interested, please contact the Awards Committee Chairs: Elizabeth Barnhard (firstname.lastname@example.org), and Deborah Farber-Kaiser (email@example.com).
The WWBA is looking for volunteers to assist with increasing its social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. If interested, please contact the President, Amanda C. Fried (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The WWBA Newsletter is published monthly, September through June. December and January are included in a combined issue. The Newsletter contains substantive articles and publicizes membership events and is distributed to the WWBA’s 400 plus members. Volunteer(s) needed to serve as copy editor. If interested, please contact Corresponding Secretary, Jill Oizemblewski (email@example.com).
